Jubo Darpan Digital, Silchar, February 6: Sarbajanjn Kalibari Puja Committee, Gangapara inaugurated the memoir titled “Katyayani” on the occasion of their 17 Years Annual Celebration. On February 6, 2022, in the assembly hall of Gangapara Kalibari, the memoir was inaugurated in the presence of guests and recognized poets, teachers, and members of the Civil Society.
The inauguration ceremony started at 11 AM, on the morning of February 6, 2022. The ceremony was graced by chief guests, Maharaj Mrimayananda Ji, of Bharat Sevashram Sangha, Silchar, Dr. Ramakanta Das, Professor, Department of Bengali, Assam University Silchar.
In the inauguration ceremony, there were guests from different fields of education and culture, Saradindu Bhattacharjee, poet and retired teacher from Silchar, along with Debotosh Nath, Principal of Bina Chandan also graced the occasion. The mentioned guests also spoke on various religious issues with scientific values.
The memoir “Katyayani” was edited by Jogendra Chandra Das, along with co-editor Subhrangshu Nath Mazumder. The collection consists of writings by 28 writers, poets, and researchers from Cachar. The magazine was published under the advisory eyes of renowned Poet-cum-Journalist, Atin Das, along with Kishore Bhattacharjee and Saradindu Bhattacharjee. The purpose of the magazine is to preserve the history of this region and uphold cultural, social, and moral values. Various articles by established social researchers highlighted various issues related to along with educational values.
Nikkon Cultural NGO performed the inaugural song along with dance by children artists of the NGO. In the meeting, Santosh Chanda, Nihar Kanti Roy, Ashim Acharjee, Sailen Das were felicitated dignitaries, which was Chaired by Nabendu Barbhuiya. The ceremony was hosted by Pallab Dey.
At the end of the ceremony, winter garments and blankets were distributed among the underprivileged sections and senior citizens of the area by the Committee.
