Jubo Darpan Digital, Silchar, February 18: On Thursday, February 17, 2022, The Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan organised the District Level Neighbourhood Youth Parliament at Hailakandi Women’s College. The District Level Neighbourhood Youth Parliament was organised involving rural and urban youths. A total number of 439 youths took part in the event.
DDC Hailakandi chaired as Chief Guest. Professor Golab Chandra Nandi, Professor Yagneswar Deb, DTO Hailakandi, Agricultural officer also kept their speech on youth and directed them to identify their qualifies. The program started by lightning the lamp by dignitaries. Students of women’s college performed an opening song.
Deputy Director Kalpana Ganguly said, “Youths should identify their talents and utilise them in a proper place”. She further added, “We should follow the mantra ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas… Sabka Vikas Sabka Prayas’.
Youths from Lala Block, Hailakandi Block, Algapur Block, Katlicherra Block, South Hailakandi Block kept their views . The main objective of the programme is to educate youth about contemporary socio-economic development sues to confront local communities in general and the youth in particular and to involve issues them & also to enable them to share their experiences and ideas in presence of development partners, service providers and local administration, Said Ganguly interacting media.
